Qube Ports & Bulk Wins at 2015 Industry Awards23rd November 2015 –
Qube Ports is proud to have won the Project Cargo Award at the prestigious 20th Annual Lloyd’s List Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards. Sponsored by the Darwin Port Corporation, this Award recognised Qube’s commitment and innovative approach to customising and delivering an integrated logistics solution for a key customer in the Pilbara, WA. Judges were impressed with the purpose designed and developed Qube Dampier Barge Facility that facilitated the transport and offloading of very large pre-assembled module cargo directly to the wharf at the Port of Dampier.
Qube were also highly commended for the Safe Transport Award for Qube Ports’ PCC Dojo Safety and Training solution. As the only one of its kind in Australia, the PCC Dojo has helped elevate Qube’s PCC and RoRo stevedoring operations to global industry best practice and delivered significant performance and safety benefits – for customers, the business and for employees.
Qube also triumphed at the 10th Annual Australian Bulk Handling Awards. In the Best Practice in WH&S category, Qube Bulk and Seeing Machines won for their work in rolling out the incredible DSS eyeball-and-face-scanning anti-fatigue technology system to the long haul road haulage fleet. Up against a very strong field of finalists, Qube Bulk also won the Excellence in Transport and/or Conveying category for Qube’s innovative Quad Axle configuration at Dampier Salts Port Hedland Operation.
