Logistics support to US Navy in Myanmar and Sri Lanka

The Qube Government Services team played a significant role in managing the goodwill visit of the US Navy expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Fall River (T-EPF-4) to Yangon, Myanmar in March 2017.

Considered a very high profile visit by both Myanmar and US Navies, the USNS Fall River was transiting between Pacific Partnership mission stops in Sri Lanka and Vietnam and was the first visit to Myanmar by a US Navy vessel since World War II.

There was considerable engagement between Qube and US Navy, US Embassy, Yangon, the Myanmar Navy and local port authority and service providers.

The ship has an embarked crew of civilian mariners, military doctors, civil engineers and multi-service support staff. Qube provided a range of vessel husbandry and support services including the coordination of port services, transport, short notice maintenance tasks, force protection and security.

Qube Government Services also supported the US Navy during a training visit to Colombo in late March 2017 by the USS Comstock. Support included provision of a broad range of naval husbandry services and logistic equipment support.
